The Home Team Academy is one of 7 Home Team Departments under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Co-located in the premises of the Academy are the Police Training Command, Prison Staff Training School and Immigration and Checkpoints Authority Training Branch. It operates satellite schools for the Internal Security Department and Central Narcotics Bureau and has off-campus link with the Civil Defence Academy. We seek to harness the best in training and knowledge residing in each Home Team Department and share such professional expertise across all the departments.
While the focus of the each Home Team Department Training School is to develop their officers in the respective core competencies, we build on such professional training by developing Home Team Plus officers who not only excel in their chosen vocation, but are also aware of and are sensitive to the larger operating terrain in the homefront.
HTA supports training of all HT frontline officers.
