SSTI takes on the strategic and leadership role in driving training and non-profit consultancy efforts for the social service and non-profit sector. Since SSTI’s inception in 2003, it has partnered numerous local and overseas educational institutions in developing social service programmes for the sector.
SSTI is an Approved Training Organisation under the national Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) framework and an Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Approved Training Centre for the NITEC in Social Services Programme.
Training workshops and seminars in the areas of children, youths and families, disabilities, elderly and cross-sector topics to train in-service social service professionals to continuously upgrade their knowledge and skills.
Academic and certificated programmes for mid-career adults who wish to work in social service settings (e.g. Bachelor of Social Work, Diploma in Social Service etc)
SSTI provides the following services:
- Training workshops and e-learning modules in non-profit governance.
- Training workshops in non-profit management, organisational development and personnel development (e.g. Human Resource, Law, Finance etc)
- Non-profit governance and management consultancy services
