PUB

PUB is a statutory board under the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources.  It is the national water agency managing Singapore’s water supply, water catchment and used water in an integrated way.  Its mission is to ensure an efficient, adequate and sustainable supply of water for the nation. PUB has ensured a diversified and sustainable supply of water for Singapore with the Four National Taps (local catchment water, imported water, NEWater, desalinated water). 


Service Offerings:

Water Industry’s Workforce

PUB provides continuous professional and competence learning to the water industry’s workforce through its training arm, WaterHub.

Competency courses: Some of the competency courses offered by WaterHub to the water industry include:

  1. Reverse Osmosis Courses – Design & Engineering
  2. Membrane-Bioreactor for Water Reclamation and Plant Optimization Course

Workshops & Seminars: Conduct sharing sessions on water related topics for the water industry and PUB’s workforce.


Government Agencies

PUB works closely with local government agencies to develop, deliver and implement training programmes for the international water sectors.

Training programmes in the areas of Water Resources Management are offered to government officials from 30 over countries across the Asia Pacific through the MFA SCPTA-SIDSTEC programmes.

Some of the areas of focus includes:
- Used Water Management
- Integrated Water Resources Management
- 24/7 Water Supply & Distribution


International Water Organisations and Bilateral Countries Collaborations

PUB collaborates with international water organizations and aid agencies to organize capacity building programmes, workshops, seminars and symposiums.

As one of the lead agencies in the Asia-Pacific Water Forum (APWF), PUB partners ADB and the UNESCO to improve coordination and promote the sharing of water knowledge in the Asia-Pacific region through the development of a network of knowledge hubs (Asia Pacific Water Forum Regional Water Knowledge Hub – APWF RWKH).
