Sharing by Singapore Environment Institute

Presentation on Semakau Landfill

At Semakau Landfill
"The inaugural sharing session was relevant and beneficial and I'm glad to have expanded my network of friends in the process. It captures the essence of how Singapore transformed herself over the decades to be a clean and green city that everyone envies today. More importantly, it provides a snapshot of the future initiatives that Singapore is embarking on and creates a greater awareness of how we can play our part to contribute to a greener and more environmentally sustainable society. The field visit to Semakau Landfill left me with an indelible impression and drums home the importance of the 3 Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). I'll certainly share the knowledge gained with my colleagues so that more people are aware of the importance of environmental protection".

"The session was interesting and informative. An eye-opener for people who are not from the aviation industry. It also provided a good platform to participants from different industry to meet and share their experience. I am very appreciative of the experience and the arrangements. I had a wonderful trip".
Xiao Man from BCA Academy
"Interesting insights into the kind of training that air traffic controllers have to go through. Not something we get to see everyday. The instructors were very good and clear in explaining what they and the students do".

"The sharing session on NYP hosted by Mr Foong and Mr Cher was interesting and insightful. The briefing followed by the tour of selected facilities gave us a good understanding of how NYP has positioned and marketed itself, not only to students but also to industry professionals and partners".
Cliff Lee from URA
"The sharing session by Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) was a very fruitful one. It's interesting to know what NYP went through all these years and the hard work they have put in to achieve their goals. The presentations and guided tours around the schools show how NYP is able to think out of the box and have an open mind to new ideas. This is definitely something that we can learn from".
